Courses recognition from foreign universities through the Erasmus program
For those who have attended European training programs, such as ERASMUS, the program time as actual study time is recognized. The same applies for the corresponding grade, after it is converted to the above mentioned grading scale.In this case, and provided that each course had a workload of at least 4 ECTS credits according to the opinion of the head of the Department for the assignment of credits and ECTS, credits corresponding to the workload of the courses students attended under the European program are recognized.
Course recognition to students enrolled by transfer
Students who enroll after transferring from another university can recognize courses that have been successfully taught and examined in their Department of Origin. These courses must correspond to the same or higher workload than the one described by the Department’s Program of Studies. Students may combine courses whose contents correspond to the content of the courses of the Department. The competent body for the recognition is the General Assembly of the Department.
Courses recognition for students from advanced entrance exams
Regarding the acceptance of graduates from different Departments in the Department of Primary Education, the following regulations apply:
- Those who successfully entered the Department are exempted from the examination of the courses in which they were examined for their entrance, if these courses correspond to courses of the Host Department’s Program of Studies (Decision Φ2 / 125186 / Β3 / 22-11-2006 of the Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs).
- Those, who are accepted, are exempted from the examination of courses or exercises of the host Department that have been taught and successfully examined in the Department or the School of origin. These courses must correspond to the same or higher workload than the one described by the Department’s Program of Studies. It is possible to combine courses whose contents correspond to the content of the courses of the Department. The competent body for the recognition is the General Assembly of the Department after a relevant application and a positive suggestion from the academic teacher regarding the correspondence of the course content and the workload.
- The maximum number of courses that can be recognized (by the Department origin & courses examined for entrance) are six (6).
